The sound of jingle bells is getting ever nearer, and like everyone else we’re starting to think about presents. If you’ve got any foodies in your life and you think they’d like some Get Funghi dried wild mushrooms to experiment with, or a bottle of Bengt’s Chilli Oil, or our Porcini Oil, then come and seek us out at one of the fairs we’ll be attending this month and next.
Coming up first will be a tasting at the well-stocked zero waste shop Millers Refillers in our home town of New Mills, north Derbyshire, this Saturday 12 November from 11-2. If you haven’t visited before there’s a huge range of bulk products to buy (bring your own containers!) as well as some lovely pre-packaged eco goods and tasty goodies. Come and get a wild mushroom toastie while you mooch.
There are two fabulous FAB (Food and Arts at the Basin) markets coming up by the canal in Whaley Bridge. The first one is a twilight market on Saturday 26 November, 11am to 5pm, when it will also be Christmas lights switch on in the town with lots of things going on. For even more of a Christmassy feeling join us there on Saturday 10 December from 10am-4pm, when Santa will be arriving at around 1pm in his water based grotto.
Last but not least we’ll be at the equally fabulous Makers at the Mills, a huge art, craft and food fair at Torr Vale Mill in New Mills, on Saturday 4 December from 10-4. There will be lots of delicious food stalls so come and spend the day there!
